Can I book a £1 room via email or phone?
This is an INTERNET ONLY offer and we cannot take bookings by phone or email. Like the low cost airlines, we can only offer low prices by having these booking conditions. If you would like to try and book a room during the sale, visit our website and click on the the £1 room button or the "Hox Value" rates.

What room type is included in the £1 offer?
Our rates are not determined by the number of adults in the room. Our rooms have either 1 queen size bed or 2 single beds and the promotional rate is based on either 1 or 2 people occupying the room.

What is included in the £1 rate?
The price confirmed on your booking includes VAT and a Lite Pret Breakfast which is delivered to your rooms and comprises of a Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice, a Granola Yoghurt pot and a Banana. There are other breakfast options in the Hoxton Grille restaurant situated on the Ground floor at the hotel. These would be charged to you separately. Our rates are not determined by the number of adults in the room. Our rooms have either queen size beds or 2 single beds and the rate is based on either 1 or 2 people occupying the room.

I have booked a room within the period of the promotion can I cancel and try and book the same date during the summer sale?
If we do decide we want to drop our price at any point (e.g.: during last Christmas) and we have guests that have a paid a rate higher than our new rate, we will refund the difference so everyone gets a fair deal. The only exception to this is if the lower rates are part of a promotional offer like our last £1 sale.

Does the reservation system show you how much it will be before booking it?
If you would like to try and book a room during the sale, visit our website at www.hoxtonhotels.com and click on the £1 room button. The button that you select will take you directly to a booking page for that rate.

Can we pay by debit card?
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards on our website except for Switch/Maestro.

I can't seem to book/I received and error message?
Tens of thousands of people trying to book on our website which gives us stupid system problems that our software suppliers cannot provide a satisfactory explanation for - sorry! When booking rooms, you may get the following messages. We have translated these from IT talk into the English language!

  1. "You are trying to select a range of dates where we have no vacancy on at least one day for the room you have selected". In English, this means, the hotel is full on one or more of the dates selected. Please try again.
  2. "Invalid Rate Type". In English, this means, there are no more rooms at £1. Please try another date or another rate.
  3. "Connection timed out". In English, this means, the system is experiencing large volumes of users trying to book rooms. You have not finished confirming this booking and will need to re-start the booking process - Sorry.

Can I change the dates? Or is it refundable?
When you have completed your booking and have a confirmation number, your credit or debit card will be charged immediately. As per our terms and conditions, this amount will be non-refundable and the date of your booking cannot be changed. Like the low cost airlines, we can only offer low prices by having these booking conditions.

How do we book a twin room when the system only allows us to book one room type?
If you have been successful in booking a £1 room, and wish to request a twin room please inform us in the comment box that you'll find above "finish reservation" on the £1 booking screen. Please note that this is a request only and cannot be guaranteed however, we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs.

How can we book a £1 room for disabled guests?
If you have been successful in booking a £1 room, and wish to request a fully accessible room please inform us in the comment box that you'll find above "finish reservation" on the £1 booking screen. How can we book a £1 room if we have one child staying with us?
Our rooms have either queen size beds or 2 single beds and the rate is based on a maximum of either 1 or 2 people occupying the room. If you have been successful in booking a £1 room, and wish to request a cot or roll-away bed for a child under 12 please inform us in the comment box that you'll find above "finish reservation" on the £1 booking screen. Please note that this is a request only and cannot be guaranteed, however we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs.

How can I book a £1 room for 3 adults?

Can I have more than 1 room at a £1?
Please note that we have limited the number of rooms that can be booked during the sale. To make the sale as fair as possible you are only allowed to book one room, for one night at a £1. If we find that you have managed to book more than 1 room at this rate, we reserve the right to cancel the all bookings and we will notify you that we have done this by e-mail with cancellation numbers.

Can I book a £1 room for 2 nights?
Please note that we have limited the number of rooms that can be booked during the sale. To make the sale as fair as possible you are only allowed to book one room, for one night at a £1. If we find that you have managed to book more than 1 room at this rate, we reserve the right to cancel the all bookings and we will notify you that we have done this by e-mail with cancellation numbers.

How do I book a second night or extend my stay at normal "Hox value" rates?
If you have been successful in booking a £1 room, and wish to reserve an additional night please click on standard rates at the bottom of the £1 booking screen. This will take you directly to our "Hox value" rates.

Can a couple book one night each at a £1?
Please note that we have limited the number of rooms that can be booked during the sale. Yes you are allowed, as the rules state that you are only allowed to book one room, for one night PER PERSON at a £1. If we find that any individual has managed to book more than 1 room at this rate, we reserve the right to cancel the all bookings and we will notify you that we have done this by e-mail with cancellation numbers.

I have not been charged?
When you have completed your booking and have a confirmation number, your credit or debit card will be charged, this process can take up to 48 hours to be actioned. As per our terms and conditions, this amount will be non-refundable and the date of your booking cannot be changed. Like the low cost airlines, we can only offer low prices by having these booking conditions.

I never received a confirmation?
Your booking is only considered confirmed once you have been given a booking reference number on the confirmation page. Once confirmed, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail detailing our full terms and conditions along with other useful information. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please make sure that you provided us with the correct email address.

I'm sure I booked for two adults but when I received my confirmation it says only one adult. Do I need to get this changed before I arrive?
Our rates are charged per room rather than per person, so this does not affect the price you pay. There is no problem if you have not entered the correct number of guests. We will simply change this at check in. Please note the maximum capacity is two adults per room.

What time can I check in?
From 14:00 on the day of arrival.

When do I need to check out?
12:00 although you can extend your check-out at £5 per hour up to 16:00.

I didn't receive an email telling me about the promotion?
We have used a third party to send out our email informing all of those people who signed up to our mailing list about the £1 promotion. If you haven't received the notification please contact us and we will take this up with the third party.

I live in the USA, I will be sleeping when the promotion runs, could you do anything for me?
We try to make every Hoxton £1 sale as fair as possible by releasing our rooms at different times which allows all of our guests from around the world the chance to book a room at £1.
